For the past 3 years Tempo Music School has been teaching the transition year girls in St Josephs how to play a bodhrán. The girls in this term are now preparing a performance to open their graduation ceremony in May
Aela McGowan’s Performance
To make the performance even more special, TY student Aela McGowan will be playing her accordion for the performance, and what a fantastic player she is, thanks Aela.
The workshops went very well it some of the lads proving to have plenty of natural rhythm. We were joined by dancing master and accordion maestro Shay McGovern for a few steps, well done everyone.
St Vincents Secondary School Picture
Tempo Music School was delighted to be part of the wonderful Scoil Samhraidh Chris Langan 2012 where Robert O Connor facilitated a bodhrán workshop.
The event was hosted by Rinceoil Fingal, a local music school in Rush serving the area and the surrounding town lands.
Robert With All Tutors
Robert was joined by fellow tutors, Cillian Vallely, Gerry O Connor, Kevin Crawford, Alan Kelly and Tony Byrne after the workshops to perform for the students, visitors and everyone else who was there on the day.
School Completion Program
During this time the students developed their rhythm, timing, technique and a small bit of table tennis skills which they showcased for their fellow students at the summer concert to rapturous applaud.
